In vanilla Minecraft, if you destroy your bed, your respawn point is deleted once you die.
In Paper Minecraft, if you destroy your bed, your respawn point is saved at the location of your bed even when you die. However, you only respawn at your respawn point if there is a bed there.
Therefore, if you and a friend are millions of blocks away from spawn on a paper server, there is an easy way to teleport back and forth from your base to spawn. If you destroy your bed and then die, you’ll respawn at spawn. If your friend replaces your bed in the same exact location that it used to be in, then you’ll respawn back at your base millions of blocks from spawn after you die again.
This is basically just a harder version of Ender Pearl stasis chambers. Some would consider this to be an exploit.
